Scan a receipt to add a transaction
Photograph a receipt and let the app fill the transaction in.
Turn on scan mode
Press and HOLD the + button in the navigation bar to open the input menu, then choose Scan receipt. The + button switches to scan mode, so a single tap opens the camera from then on.
Shoot it and check the result
- Take a photo with the camera or pick an existing image from your library.
- Crop to the receipt if the shot includes more than you need.
- The app reads the amount, category, wallet, note and transaction date.
- The transaction form opens prefilled — review it, correct anything, then save.
Getting a readable photo
- Lay the receipt flat, in good light, and shoot straight on.
- Include the total and the date in the frame.
- Blurred or angled receipts still work, but need a connection for the extra processing.
Good to know
- Receipt scanning is part of the Quick input plan and shares its daily allowance with voice input.
- Camera permission is requested the first time you use it.
- You always review the result before it is saved — nothing is stored without you.
- The current version creates one transaction per receipt; individual line items are not split out yet.
